Hon. Robert P. Dick’s Lectures on Hebrew Poetry

year 1883

July 5, 1883 (The Commonwealth, a newspaper of Scotland Neck, NC, 3d page)

We have received a copy of Sunday Afternoon Lectures before the Greensboro Law School by Hon. Robt. P. Dick. It is a neatly printed volume of over two hundred pages, and contains sixteen lectures on Hebrew Poetry. For beauty of diction and sublimity of thought, these lectures are surpassed by none that it has been our pleasure to read. The object of the author, as he states, is to excite an interest in the study of the Bible, by pointing out some of its literary excellencies and beauties, and he does this as few others could.
