We are requested to publish the following:
May 21st, 1883.
Dear Sir:–A grand Glass Ball Shooting Match will be held in Scotland Neck, N.C., 7th June, 1883. Shooting will commence at 10 o’clock, a.m.
Prizes as Follows:
1st $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $30.
Entrance fee $5. Number of chances, 40. Trap, (Cord’s rotary.) Rise 18 yards. Bogardus’ rules, except guns larger than 12 bore, will not be admitted. Ties of 10 shoot for first prize, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd. More than three chances will not be allowed one shooter. Dinner furnished participants.
