–Masonic Funeral.—The funeral sermon over the late Archibald Stephenson will be preached at his late residence four miles from Halifax by the Rev. Mr. Lumley, on the fourth Sunday in May, 1883, (next Sunday) at 11 o’clock, a.m. Masonic ceremonies will be performed on the occasion. All Masons who are members of Lodges are respectfully invited to attend and participate in paying the last tribute of respect to a faithful brother.

[I have not found any other definitive information on Archibald Stephenson, but I did find a interesting brief history of this particular Masonic lodge.
However, thank you to David Gammon for this information: “Archibald Stephenson was born about 1809 in Virginia, most likely Southampton County, as he married Emma Hancock there in 1831. They moved to near Halifax and raised a large family.”]
