Getting a Wife by Advertising.

–Col. C.T. Carraway, a citizen of Polkton, this State, put an advertisement in the Baltimore Sun a few weeks ago wanting a wife. A day or two after the advertisement appeared, Col. Carraway received a letter from a Baltimore lady, enclosing her photograph, with a description of herself, and he was so well pleased with it all that he concluded to go to Baltimore and see the lady in person. He went last week and when he returned he brought the lady home with him, having married her a few days after he first saw her in Baltimore.—Charlotte Journal
