–There was a shooting affray at Robersonville on 26th ult. From some cause and [sic] altercation arose between M. A. Roberson and H.F. Badger. Roberson shot Badger in the breast and in the leg. At first it was thought that Badger would die, but we learn that he is expected to be out in a few days.

–The types made us say last week that Roberson shot Badger at Robersonville. We should have said that Badger shot Roberson. We knew better for we got the facts from a gentleman in the town.
