Taken Up and Committed to jail in Germanton, Hyde county, on the 11th inst. a negro man who says his name is Harry, and that he belongs to a Mr. John Cratch of Bay-River, Craven county, he is about 5 feet 8 inches, high of a yellow complexion, and well made; from his appearance is about thirty-five years of age–he had with him a pass, liberating him to pass from Saturdays until Mondays from the 20th of May to the 1st of June, signed by Elijah Cratch.–The owner is requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges, and take him away.
