Rogers, Leroy; Iowa and New York, dies November 5, 1873

DEATH OF A FORMER ANAMOSA BOY.–Leroy Rogers, several years since a resident of Anamosa, and at one time engaged in teaming, was killed while coupling cars at Hillsdale, New York, on the 5th inst., the car passing over one hip and shoulder, causing death in about four hours. He was a brother of Miss. S. A. Rogers, formerly in the Millinery business in this city. Leroy is well remembered among old friends here as a jolly, kind and intelligent young man and was a general favorite wherever known.
